# Add Column

**Overview**

The **AddColumn** component allows adding a new column to an existing dataset.

**Input Parameters**

| Parameter      | Type     | Required | Description                                    |

| `dataset`      | `array`  | ✅        | The dataset to which the column will be added. |
| `columnName`   | `string` | ✅        | The name of the new column.                    |

**Output Parameters**

**Instructions**

1. **Provide the Dataset:**
   * Ensure the dataset is passed in the correct array format.
2. **Specify Column Details:**
   * Enter the column name.
   * Optionally, provide a default value for all rows.
3. **Process & Output:**
   * The component adds the column and outputs the updated dataset.
